Langebaan is a kiteboarder’s paradise.  Experience the thrill of being propelled by Mother Nature and catching a few waves on the open ocean. Shark Bay is the new Kiteboarders beach in Langebaan only 2 minutes away from THE VIEW  

The tidal mudflats of the lagoon also attract thousands of migratory birds every year, and resident species are prolific and include greater and lesser flamingoes.  The world’s largest breeding colony of black harriers also occurs in the area.  

If you are one for hitting the greens, you can do so at the golf course at Langebaan Country Estate.  The golf course was designed by the legendary golf player, Gary Player, and is beautifully maintained, with well-positioned bunkers and signature routing that is great for golfers of all skill levels. 

Discover the magical world under the sea. The West Coast offers exquisite diving with shipwrecks, rock formations, seals, and more. 

 Take to the water in a kayak and explore the pristine Langebaan Lagoon or the icy ocean on a sunny day. 

The Greek in-spited lifestyle complex has a ton of fun activities to get up to.  Whether you are looking for something   

to eat or something to do. There are restaurants and cafes along the beach where you can relax and enjoy the coastal air. It’s not just about the casino, don’t worry, you don’t have to do any gambling to enjoy yourself at Club Mykonos.   

Why not make a day of it by packing a braai, swimming wear, and your fishing gear? Rent a boat and cruise away the hours in the classic South African sunshine. 

You can see fossils of bears, saber tooth tigers, short-necked giraffes, and many other animals which lived on the west coast 5 million years ago.

 Langebaan is an internationally acclaimed Ramsar Site for its importance as a wetland.  Situated in the South African Cape West Coast Biosphere Reserve, Langebaan is a birding destination of international repute. The extensive intertidal area of the lagoon supports up to 55 000 water birds in summer, most of which are waders. The five islands to the north of the lagoon provide a home for nearly a quarter of a million sea birds, and include important breeding sites for endemic populations. 12% of the global population of black oystercatchers are found in the Langebaan area.

 The only way to better spend a sunset on the beach is by enjoying it on horseback.
